This week is the International Bluegrass Music Association’s (IBMA) World of Bluegrass week and its right here in Raleigh! Five days of urban bluegrass music featuring local and traditional bluegrass. You can check out the music in multiple venues (even RDU!) all week but the big show happens weekend on the main stage at Red Hat Amphitheater. This is a ticketed event that runs from $40-$140. However, you can join the fun for free at the street festival along Fayetteville St. downtown. There you will find 5 stages of music, dance tent, food and art, shoping vendors and a BBQ championship competition. IBMA’s Music Expo will be at the Raleigh Convention Center as well.
