If you are looking for a fun, low cost activity in the upcoming weekend, then try the latest event at the NC State Fairgrounds. Treasure of the Earth group, who specializes in estate sales, jewelry and gems is hosting eight shows across the country including this one in Raleigh, touted as a gem, mineral and jewelry show. It will feature estate, classic, handcrafted and fashion jewelry made from a variety of metals, as well as a vast array of crystals, minerals and fossils.
You can shop a wide selection of custom faceted gem stones, carved stones and gift items, mineral specimens, fossils, crystals, lapidary supplies, and beads of all types, findings and beading supplies.
Jewelers and wire wrappers will be on site who can design, remount or repair jewelry so bring your repairs along.
In addition, there will be a gemologist present at the Virginia Beach shows to do appraisals while you wait.
